Avon By The Sea circa 1900 is a four season, seaside victorian community half way between Philly and NYC. Surrounded by several bodies of water, Sylvan Lake to the north (where I happen to stand up paddle in). Shark River inlet hugs the south end of town, its busy with many boats parading in and out of the Atlantic Ocean as you watch the draw bridge go up and down all summer long.To the east is the ocean and beautiful beaches and distinct boardwalk adorn with round victorian lamp post’s and aqua blue benches. Avon is a charming community that you will truly want to come back again and agin, and maybe one day decide to make it your HOME.
